Most people don't need flashy financial advice. They need someone they can actually talk to — someone who will take the time to understand their life, and help them make better decisions year after year. Not sell them a product.
That's the idea Chris Hanbury started the firm with in 2016, working out of the East Midlands.
In 2024, we opened a second office in Cornwall, near St Agnes. Today we work with a small, carefully chosen group of clients across the UK — in Cornwall, the East Midlands, London, the South East, Scotland, and Northern Ireland — many of whom have been with us since we started.
Our approach is goals-based. In plain English: we start with you. What do you want your life to look like in five years? Ten? Thirty? We build the financial plan around the answer.
The money serves the life, not the other way round.
We don't do one-off transactions. Every client we take on is someone we expect to be working with for years. Markets move, tax rules change, families grow, businesses are sold, and a good plan needs to keep up. That's the job: being there when things change, and making sure your finances change with them.
Plain English.
Not jargon, not acronyms, not condescension. If we can't explain it clearly, we haven't thought about it properly.
A team you'll get to know.
You'll have a lead adviser, but the whole practice supports your plan.
Your interests first.
We'd rather lose a fee than recommend something that wasn't right for you.
Long-term thinking.
A quick transaction isn't what we're built for. We're thinking about the next twenty years — and we'd like you to be too.
